Manifesting in the Season of the Witch

(And why less than two months left in the year are golden for laying foundations)

As we sink deeper into October — the season of transformation, intuition, and magic — and inch closer toward year’s end, I’m feeling more than ever that now is sacred. There’s less than two months left in the year to lay the energetic, emotional, and spiritual foundations for what you’ll unfold in the next one.
So, in today’s post, I wanted to talk about something that feels perfectly aligned with this time of year: manifesting.
We often think of manifesting as intention setting, visualizing, embodying the self who “has already received,” or “calling in” what we want through positive energy. And yes, those are all powerful tools — but the real magic often lies in what happens when things don’t go according to plan:
when the spell doesn’t work right away,
when the path feels unclear,
when the Universe goes quiet.
This is where true witchcraft — the art of trust — begins.
Let’s look at how we get stuck, and more importantly, how we get unstuck, using the Season of the Witch (with its cycles, eclipses, and endings) as our guide.
We’ve all heard “new year, new you.” and I’m sorry to tell you: it’s a myth — not because transformation isn’t possible, but because it isn’t automatic. You can’t flip a calendar page and expect magic. Change happens when you choose and do — day after day, night after night. Embodying who you’re becoming — through trust, surrender, shadow, and aligned action. If you want a “new year, new you” experience, start laying the foundations now so you arrive at January already in motion.
🌘 Seasons, Cycles & Cosmic Markers

We live in a cycle-based Universe. The moon wanes. The earth tilts. Energies shift. And all of that can help us manifest with the Times, not against them.
If you’re new to moon-phase work, eclipses, or retrogrades, think of these celestial cycles like a timing guide rather than a rulebook. Just as you wouldn’t plant a garden in the middle of a snowstorm, aligning certain intentions and actions with celestial cycles can help your energy flow more smoothly. Below is a quick intro to the major markers and, importantly, what to do during each phase.
How to start: keep a simple moon calendar (apps or a printed monthly calendar work), note the next new moon, full moon, or retrograde, and choose one small ritual or practical action for each phase. Consistency beats perfection.
New Moons - Planting & Intention (Oct 21, 2025): call us inward — to plant seeds under darkness, set intentions in the quiet
Waxing Moon — Build & Act: As the moon grows, so does momentum. Use this time for consistent action and small wins. Check in mid-cycle and tweak your plan.
Full Moons / Eclipses - Release & Reveal (Next major full moon: Beaver Supermoon on Nov 5, 2025): break open what’s been hidden — force us to release, to purge, to let go of what no longer serves. Full moons bring things to light and are perfect for release rituals (journaling, burning or tearing up what no longer serves)—eclipses accelerate these shifts. Use this phase to clear space for what you want next.
Waning Moon — Integrate & Rest: After the full moon, slow down. Integrate insights, practice gratitude, and prepare for the next new moon.
Retrogrades - Review & Rework (Mercury RX: Nov 9–Nov 29, 2025; pre-shadow begins Oct 21): Retrogrades invite reflection and revision rather than full-speed launches. Use them to tidy loose ends, revise plans, and back up important files. Note the pre-shadow window can gently nudge you to start reworking earlier, inviting you to revisit, reflect, revise rather than push forward blindly.
In short: use the cosmos as your co-creator. Let the cycles tell you when to sow, when to pause, when to harvest, and when to shift direction.
Quick toolkit (one simple practice per phase):
New Moon: write one intention + a one-week micro-action.
Waxing Moon: take the micro-action + celebrate a small win.
Full Moon/Eclipse: release ritual + reflect on lessons.
Waning Moon: rest, journal gratitude, archive progress.
Retrograde: review, revise, and protect your work (backups, confirmations).
Putting it into your two-month plan:
Map an intention to the next new moon (Oct 21) and schedule weekly micro-actions to build through the waxing moon. Use the Beaver Supermoon (Nov 5) as your ceremonial release/clear-out day. If Mercury Rx touches your timeline (Nov 9–29), treat that window as a refining period—refine, don’t launch—so your energy remains grounded and productive.
🌑 The Shadows That Show Up in Manifestation

When our desires don’t unfold as expected, a few familiar visitors tend to appear:
🕸️ Mistrust — “Maybe I’m not meant for that”
🕯️ Impatience — “Why is divine time slower than my timeline?”
🌑 Doubt — “Maybe I don’t deserve it”
🔮 The urge to control the outcome — trying to force outcomes
🍂 Scarcity mindset — feeling lack instead of abundance
Sound familiar? I’ve danced with each of these shadows myself. I’ve held them in my body. I’ve watched vision boards fade. I’ve felt dreams stall.
What shifted everything for me was learning to transfigure these shadows — not deny them, but bring them into light.
In the past, I treated goal-setting like a ritual with a strict formula: if I did everything “right,” my manifestation would come. But life — much like magic — doesn’t always work that way.
Manifesting isn’t just about creating — it’s about becoming. It’s an alchemy of patience, trust, and surrender.
Here are the lessons I’ve learned that feel especially alive during this Season of the Witch:
1. 🖤 Trust Your Inner Power and the Divine
Even if your current reality looks nothing like your vision, there’s a deeper weave happening. I’ve found that when things “go wrong,” they’re often going more right under the surface. You’re co-creating with forces seen and unseen — the divine, the cosmos, your intuition.
When plans shift, trust that you’re being guided toward something even more aligned. The Universe is not punishing you — it’s preparing you.
2. 🌕 Honor Divine Timing
The moon doesn’t rush to become full — she waxes and wanes, trusting each phase of her cycle. The same is true for your manifestations.
If it hasn’t come yet, you may be in a sacred pause — a season of learning or growth that prepares you for what’s next. That pause is part of the magic.
3. 🌒 When You Think You’ve Surrendered — surrender deeper
Let go of the illusions of control. Drop the “should haves.” Watch what comes when energy is freed from rigidity.
Move from expectation to appreciation. Letting go is one of the hardest parts of manifesting, but it’s also the most magical. When we cling to control, we block flow. Release the “shoulds” and “what ifs,” and instead, move into appreciation. Appreciate the unfolding, the lessons, and the mystery.
4. 🌿 Feel Abundant — even in the waiting
Scarcity whispers that you’re missing something. Abundance reminds you that you already are everything you seek.
Even before your manifestation looks like you hoped, you can feel abundance. You can live as if you already are aligned. That inner reality becomes the magnet for outer results.
Celebrate the journey. Savor the lessons. The more you embody security and gratitude now, the more you magnetize what you desire.
✨ The Time is Now

With two months left in the year, this is your invitation:
Plant your deepest intention now, under the upcoming moon cycles.
Let go of any part of your story that weighs you down — stories like “I’ve always failed,” “It’s too late,” or “Maybe I’m not enough.”
Build your rituals (candles, journaling, moon baths) to anchor your energy.
Walk your path like a witch: with reverence for cycles, respect for mystery, and fierce trust in your unfolding.
Your next year starts right now.
Not on January 1st.
Not when conditions are perfect.
But when your spirit says yes.
And when your heart leans into becoming more than receiving.
🖤 Blessed be, my fellow witches. The next chapter is yours. 🕯️
Manifesting is more than making vision boards and setting goals — it’s a spiritual initiation into your own power. It’s shadow and light. Trust and mystery.
So as we step into this witchy season, light your candles, set your intentions, and release your fears to the wind.
Trust that your manifestations are already weaving themselves into being — one divine thread at a time.
🖤 The magic is in the waiting. 🕯️
