My Story
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people, but the path to realizing that goal wasn't always clear. I was pushed to go the doctor route, because that's where the money was at. With lack of my own direction, I took that of others and became a first generation graduate, earning degrees in Biology and Psychology, with minors in Chemistry and Business. During undergrad I obtained a job at a research lab where I delved into research on lung cancer as a lab tech. During my time in the lab, I could acknowledge the work I was doing was important and impactful, but it didn't feel like the right fit for me.
The year following college graduation was pivotal. Faced with the question "What now?", I realized I needed to break free from feeling stuck and unfulfilled. Despite my qualifications, I sought a deeper purpose aligned with making a meaningful impact that I could see and feel.
That's when I discovered life coaching. A single coaching call ignited a transformative journey towards holistic wellness and personal fulfillment. In just six months, I became certified as a health and life coach through the Health Coach Institute and felt inspired to go even further by obtaining certification as a yoga instructor, enhancing my ability to guide clients through meditation, mindfulness, and yoga practices.
These certifications have not only equipped me to support others but also taught me profound lessons in self-love and mindset shifts.
Through my coaching and yoga practices, I've learned to love and prioritize myself, which has empowered me to help others more effectively. I've worked with nonprofit organizations, aiding formerly incarcerated women to reenter society, and have previous experience in behavioral health for children with autism as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I spent time volunteering on the Crisis Hotline to deepen my ability to help people in crisis cope.
By practicing self-care, I've achieved a healthy work-life balance and help others discover their own path to a meaningful life. I'm passionate about guiding individuals to live authentically and joyfully, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you.
Warm regards,
Lexi H.
